Terra State Children’s Choir to start rehearsals Monday

FREMONT – The Terra State Children’s Choir is starting up for fall semester and holding auditions for new members 5:30-7 p.m. Monday on the Terra campus. The Children’s Choir is open to singers in grades 3-8, with the goal to shape the future by making a difference in the lives of children through musical excellence.

The repertoire is to be selected from various time periods and genres. Under the direction of interim director Jonathan Torrence, the choir is to experience various cultural and folk music selections and original music.

No preparation is necessary. The audition process is intended to assess whether or not the student has the ability to sing in tune. Auditions will be completed in five minutes. To schedule an audition time or for information, contact Amanda Pochatko at (419) 559-2205 or apochatko01@terra.edu.

Rehearsals are to take place 6:30-8 p.m. Monday evenings beginning Sept. 30. The cost to participate is $35 per semester.
