Man who led police on chase gets more than 3 years prison
A man who led law enforcement on a vehicle pursuit in a stolen vehicle in 2011 was sentenced to 41 months in prison this week after pleading guilty to charges of receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle and failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.
Allen J. Gordon, 38, of Huron, who pleaded guilty to the charges earlier this month, was sentenced by Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff Monday, according to court documents.
Gordon was arrested in April 2011 after a Seneca County Sheriff’s deputy responded to SR 635 to investigate a stolen vehicle and Gordon took off in it. He then fled the vehicle on foot. Law enforcement was unable to locate Gordon, but he was later apprehended in Illinois after fleeing from another stolen vehicle.
According to his indictment, the day after the chase in Seneca County, Gordon also stole a utility truck belonging to MCQ Inc.
