Fundraiser scheduled

NEW RIEGEL – New Riegel Volunteer Firemen Inc. is to host a casino night and dinner 6 p.m.-midnight Saturday at New Riegel American Legion. The event features an all-you-can-eat barbecue chicken or baked steak dinner, silent and live auctions, a reverse raffle, games of chance and refreshments.

The cost is $10 at the door for those 18 and older. All proceeds are to be used for the purchase of fire equipment.

Final farmers’ market on calendar in Fostoria

FOSTORIA – The last Fostoria Farmers’ Market of the season is to take place 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at KeyBank, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria. With an “Old Thymes” theme, the market is to feature items for the home, antiques and collectibles, along with fresh, local produce.

Fostoria Community Band is to provide entertainment.

Church to serve dinner

RISINGSUN – St. Paul United Methodist Church in Risingsun is to serve a community dinner 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday.

The menu includes meatloaf, parsley potatoes, vegetable, salad bar, pie and beverage.

Donations are to be taken.

Rabies vaccinations

on tap at Fostoria clinic

FOSTORIA – Tri-County Veterinary Clinic is to offer one-year rabies vaccinations for $15 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 28.

The clinic is at 4579 N. US 23, Fostoria. Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.

Cancer benefits slated

Maddy Colatruglio and Maddy’s Heart are to hold a fundraiser Saturday to support four local children with cancer.

Colatruglio is to sell baked goods and homemade bracelets at Big Boy and the Tiffin-Seneca Heritage Festival’s arts and crafts area. She also is to be at Walmart from noon-4 p.m.

She is also raffling off a basket to Kalahari Resorts. Included in the basket are an overnight stay in a Desert Queen room, a $30 gift card to Kalahari, a $25 gas card and other prizes.
