Bloomville man pleads guilty to several charges

A Bloomville man has pleaded guilty to multiple sex-related charges and is now awaiting sentencing.

Torrance K. Norman II, 36, who was arrested in May on a charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and later indicted by a Seneca County grand jury on five counts of rape, five counts of sexual battery, two counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of importuning, pleaded guilty last week to four counts of sexual battery, four counts of rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition, according to court documents.

According to his indictment, Norman’s victim was a 15-year-old girl and the misconduct between the two occurred between June 2012 and May of this year.

A pre-sentence was ordered last week by Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff.

According to court documents, the Oriana house was to interview Norman at the Seneca County jail.
