Lakota OKs athletic recommendations

Lakota Board of Education approved all athletic personnel recommendations during a meeting Monday evening.

At the high school level, Terry James was named head baseball coach, Thomas Hallett was named assistant basketball coach, Chris Chalfin was named head softball coach and Steven Smith was named assistant cross country coach. For the junior high, Ryan Nusbaum was named cross country coach, Hannah Haubert and Morgan Haubert were named volleyball coaches, Crystal Loomis was named cheerleading coach, and Ryan Gabel was named football coach.

All appointments were made for the 2013-2014 school year.

Approved an agreement between Lakota Local Schools and the Wood County Juvenile Residential Detention Center of Northwest Ohio for the 2013-2014 school year.

Approved an agreement to participate in the Vanguard-Sentinel Career & Technology Centers Educational and Remedial Support Services Program for the 2013-2014 school year.

Approved the hiring of all additional personnel.
