Sycamore council talks weather
SYCAMORE – Sycamore Mayor Matt Boucher addressed the impact of rain events and flooding in Wyandot County at Tuesday evening’s city council meeting.
The village utility office has a pamphlet available, issued by Wyandot County Health Department, that describes in detail clean-up procedures after flooding occurs. Boucher thought the information would be timely, as some flooding already had occurred and more storms were forecasted.
Council passed two pieces of legislation, an agreement with the Ohio Water Development Authority to fund the construction of a new water treatment facility, and to place a five-year, 2-mil replacement levy to fund fire protection on the November ballot.
Council expressed its appreciation to the Sycamore Businessmen Association for a donation of $1,500 which covered repairs at the village pool of a pump and roof.
Council is to meet at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at the village office.
