Lakota superintendent to leave
Monday saw the Lakota Board of Education approve the resignation of Superintendent David Danhoff.
Danhoff was superintendent of Lakota for the past year, on top of having 22 years of service throughout various school districts as a superintendent.
Danhoff feels his goal upon entering Lakota has been accomplished, as he intended to raise the grades of all the students, which he felt was done last year.
He said he leaves with mixed emotions to go on to work with Sandusky City Schools, but feels Lakota is in great hands and in good shape.
In other matters, the board:
Approved the Lakota Music Department taking band members to Camp Glen in Tiffin during August.
Approved the agreement between Lakota Local Schools and Great Lakes Biomedical for the student drug testing program for the 2013-2014 school year.
Approved revising the Lakota Middle School/High School Athletic Handbook for the 2013-2014 school year.
Approved the hiring of various personnel.
