Danhoff to return to Sandusky
KANSAS With 22-years as superintendent, David Danhoff has planned to return to Sandusky City Schools as its chief of staff and transformation officer from Lakota Local Schools.
Danhoff gave his resignation at the July board of education meeting Monday.
“I want to thank the Lakota Board of Education, administrators, teachers and support staffs for the tremendous support that I received during my year at Lakota,” Danhoff said.
The board is in the process of finding Danhoff’s replacement. They have targeted a good candidate, Danhoff said.
Danhoff said he had mixed emotions about leaving.
“I will mostly miss the kids and the administrators and staff,” Danhoff said.
For the next superintendent, Danhoff said, “This is a great situation to come in. It is a beautiful facility and the staff and kids are tremendous. Just come into it with a lot of enthusiasm and everything else will take care of its self. The key is to continue improving and making every attempt to best meet the needs of all of our students.”
