Bettsville OKs service pact

BETTSVILLE – The Bettsville Board of Education passed a resolution to enter into shared services with the Old Fort Board of Education Tuesday evening.

According to district Treasurer Roger Luhring, the district plans to share high school and elementary principals and a Spanish teacher with Old Fort effective for the 2013-14 school year.

Old Fort is to share high school principal Shane Jacoby and Bettsville is to share elementary principal Michelle Dantuono. In addition, both districts are to share Spanish teacher Matthew Combs, Luhring said.

The Old Fort Board of Education passed its resolution earlier this month.
