Tiffin judge testifies for combined court
COLUMBUS Tiffin Municipal Court Judge Mark Repp offered testimony Wednesday in support of House Bill 141, legislation creating the Tiffin-Fostoria municipal court. The testimony was given in the Senate Public Safety, Local Government and Veterans Affairs committee.
The bill passed the floor of the Ohio House of Representatives May 22 by a vote of 92-1. Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz and Fostoria Mayor Eric Keckler offered supportive committee testimony in the House.
HB 141 is to establish the Tiffin-Fostoria municipal court effective Jan 1, 2014, with the election to the newly created court occurring in November. The bill is sponsored by State Rep. Rex Damschroder, R-Fremont.
