Calvert grad ordained as priest
TOLEDO – At 11 a.m. June 22, Bishop Leonard P. Blair is to ordain four men into the priesthood of the Diocese of Toledo at Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, 2535 Collingwood Boulevard, Toledo.
Deacon Christopher M. Mileski, 28, of Tiffin, is a graduate of Calvert Catholic High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in religion from Heidelberg University and a master’s degree in divinity from St. Meinrad Seminary in Indiana. His pastoral internship year was at Maumee St. Joseph. Mileski also served summer assignments at Our Lady of Lourdes in Toledo and Maumee St. Joseph, and was chaplain assistant at Philmont Boy Scout Ranch.
“Priesthood is all about being that human bridge who brings Christ to others in sacrament, relationship and example,” Mileski said.
He has been assigned as associate pastor at St. Wendelin Parish in Fostoria. The son of David and Lynne Mileski of Tiffin, Chris also has a younger brother, Joseph. His Mass of Thanksgiving is set for 3 p.m. June 23 at his home parish, Tiffin St. Joseph. A reception is to follow in the school cafeteria.
The other three ordinands are Deacon Nathan F. Bockrath, Glandorf; Deacon Jeremy P. Miller, Marblehead; and Deacon Jeffery J. Walker, Custar.
