Investigation leads to drug search on Elm
A drug-related search warrant was executed at an Elm Avenue residence early Tuesday morning after police were led there while investigating the death of 21-year-old Dominic Hays.
Chuck Boyer, unit coordinator of the Seneca County Drug Task Force METRICH Enforcement Unit, said law enforcement executed the search warrant at 205 Elm Ave., the residence of Teague A. Robinson, 23, and Lisa M. Robinson, 30. There, suspected marijuana and a small marijuana growing operation was discovered.
No one was arrested early Tuesday morning at the Elm Avenue residence, but charges of possession of drugs and drug trafficking are pending for the Robinsons and for Brandi L. King, 24, of Tiffin, who was at the residence during execution of the search warrant.
A cause of death has not yet been determined for Hays, who was found unconscious and bleeding in his East Perry Street residence Monday morning. Hays died Monday evening at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Boyer said an autopsy is scheduled for today at the Lucas County coroner’s office.
Boyer said police are continuing to work with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification in investigating Hays’s death.
