Bloomville man accused of misconduct
A Bloomville man was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a teenage girl.
Torrance K. Norman II, 36, faces the third-degree felony charge for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl numerous times since the fall of 2012, according to court documents.
Detective Kevin Reinbolt of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office said Norman confessed during an interview to committing several sexual acts with the girl.
Norman appeared in court Friday morning where his bond was set at $100,000, according to court documents.
Reinbolt said the case will be presented to a Seneca County grand jury for possible further charges.
“This is good that we were able to remove a dangerous individual from the small community of Bloomville as quickly as we were able to,” he said.
Norman is scheduled to appear again in Tiffin Municipal Court Friday for a preliminary hearing.
According to court documents, if convicted of the charge in Tiffin Municipal Court, Norman could face up to 36 months in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
