Art workshop slated
FOSTORIA – The Fostoria Community Arts Council is to offer a free children’s workshop for spring and for Mother’s Day 10 a.m.-noon May 4 at the FCAC offices, 125 S. Main St., Fostoria.
Instructor Cheryl Graves is to have a variety of projects available to make.

Foundation awards grants
The Youth Advisory Council and Board of Trustees of The Tiffin Charitable Foundation have awarded $2,941 to the St. Francis Community’s Franciscan Earth Literacy Center and the Angel Academy Day Care.
These grants are to provide funds to purchase supplies for FELC’s summer camp programs and purchase a children’s “Bye Bye” buggy to transport the
children who attend the Angel Academy.
Seniors lunch offered
SYCAMORE – The annual Sycamore Senior Citizens Luncheon sponsored by the Mohawk 60-Plus Club is to begin at noon May 2 at Sycamore Community Center.
Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at Mohawk 60-Plus Club from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Friday or by calling Chris at (419) 927-2381.

Choral concerts on tap
FREMONT – Terra Choral Society is to celebrate its 10th anniversary with concerts in Port Clinton and Clyde.
“Music That Changed the World” features highlights from the group’s past decade and performances by Terra Children’s Choir. The concert includes selections from the Choral Society’s masterwork concerts, music of the stage and screen performances, a patriotic tribute program, dramatic presentations and more.
The concerts are:
7:30 p.m. Friday at the Port Clinton Performing Arts Center, 821 Jefferson St., Port Clinton.
4 p.m. Sunday in the Clyde High School Performing Arts Center, 1015 Race St., Clyde
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Terra State College Store or at the door the night of the performance.

State Theatre offers youth choir, summer workshops
SANDUSKY – Sandusky State Theatre is forming an Amerikids Show Choir for youth ages 11-19.
Singers can audition 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday and May 2 at the theater, 107 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Those auditioning should prepare 18 bars of a song to perform a cappella and bring a snapshot or headshot.

A summer theater workshop for ages 11-17 is planned June 17-21 and June 24-27. Covering all aspects of theater, it is to run 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. On the final day, participants are to present a 7:30 p.m. show using the skills they have learned.
The cost of the workshop is $165.
Children ages 7-10 are invited to a theater workshop July 8-12 and July 15-19 during the hours of 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Participants are to perform “Winnie the Pooh Kids” at 7:30 p.m. July 19.
The cost is $165 per child.
