Theater camp has slots

Summer theater camp at The Ritz Theatre still has space for a few more campers in grades 1-12 during its session June 17-22. The day camps run 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday with performances of “The Tortoise Versus the Hare” at 7 p.m. June 21 and 2 p.m. June 22. The cost is $120 per student.

TU shows upcoming

The music department at Tiffin University is inviting the public to multiple concerts by various musical groups.

Dance Team Showcase, 7:30 p.m. today, Gillmor Student Center Gymnasium. Free.

TU Concert Band and Choirs, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Osceola Theatre in the Gillmor Center. Free.

Polar Entertainment Hip Hop Showcase, featuring Copywrite, 9 p.m., April 27, Osceola Theatre. Admission is $10 at the door, free for students and staff.

Dance Team spring concert, 7:30 p.m. April 27, Gillmor Gymnasium. Students from Dance Unlimited and In Motion are to be guest performers during the showcase. Free.

TU Kids Choir Spring Concert, 7:30-8 p.m. April 28, Osceola Theatre. Free.

Dueling Pianos booked

Camden Falls, 2460 S. SR 231, is to host another performance of Dueling Pianos Saturday. The doors are to open at 7 p.m., with music to start at 8 p.m.

NR to host garage sales

NEW RIEGEL – New Riegel Community Garage Sales are scheduled for 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at various locations in the New Riegel area.

Merchant fair planned

FOSTORIA – The main dining room at St. Catherine’s Manor in Fostoria is to be transformed into a Spring Merchant Fair 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday. More than a dozen home-based businesses are to have merchandise for sale.

Expo returning to Clyde

CLYDE – The Clyde Business and Professional Association is to host its annual Clyde Expo 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Clyde High School, 1015 Race St., Clyde.

Businesses, non-profit groups and organizations are to set up displays, pass out literature and give out free items.Children’s activities and entertainment by school musical groups also are planned.

TAG art auction on tap

The Tiffin Art Guild is preparing to stage its 2013 Fundraiser Art Auction at 6 p.m. April 27 at Tiffin Mad River Railroad Depot on North Monroe Street. The theme for this year is “Outside the Box.”

Local artists have been creating original boxes and containers that are to be up for bids. Some of the auction items are on display in the front window at the gallery, 178 S. Washington St.. The auction is to feature free refreshments donated by TAG members and volunteers. A 50/50 drawing also is planned.

All proceeds go toward operating costs at the gallery.

NAMI walk approaches

FREMONT – “Together we can make a difference” is NAMI’S 2013 theme for its eighth annual fundraising walk, set for 11 a.m. April 27 in Connor Park, Fremont.

More than 200 community supporters are expected to walk to raise funds for the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Sandusky, Seneca and Wyandot counties.

Any walker raising $100 or more will receive an event T-shirt. Individual walkers also are welcome to register at the event. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the 5K walk begins at 11.
