Woman charged after Tiffin knife incident

A woman was charged with a fourth-degree felony Sunday after allegedly approaching her sister with a knife.

Kelly A. Woods-Kumar, 41, of Tiffin, was charged with domestic violence Sunday afternoon, according to Tiffin Police Department. She was being held without bond at Seneca County Jail Sunday evening.

According to the police department, a woman at 462 N. Washington St. reported at 4:02 p.m. her sister had gone after her with a knife. People took the knife away from her, according to the department.

Woods-Kumar had poked her sister in the eye, but no injuries resulted from the knife, a police department spokesman said.

Woods-Kumar is to appear in Tiffin Municipal Court today, the police department spokesman said.
