Vanguard-Sentinel school board approves multiple personnel contracts
FREMONT – The Vanguard-Sentinel Career and Technology Centers met for its regular board of education meeting Thursday, renewing the administrative staff contract for Vanguard Technology Center Director James Rutter. The three-year contract becomes effective July 1 and expires June 2016.
Bryan Zimmerman, assistant director for the Sentinel Career and Technology Center, also had a three-year contract renewed for the same time frame.
Other personnel action approved included:
Jason Miller, administrative staff contract, Vanguard three-year contract as student services assistant director.
Unpaid leave of absence for Patty Berger, Vanguard buildings and grounds academics instructor, Thursday for 1/2 day.
Classified supplemental contracts for 2012-13, custodial for Kenneth Missler and Chad Baker.
The board approved an agreement with the Northern Ohio Educational Computer Association Information Technology Center to provide Internet service for July 1-June 30, 2018 for $21,840.
A resolution was passed accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the budget commission and authorizing tax levies and certifying them to the Sandusky County auditor.
The board approved the financial consent agenda, which included a fiscal year analysis, fiscal data graphs, financial summary report, investment report, appropriations amendments and check payment register. According to the financial report as of March 3, the total funds were $22,693,521.95 with a year-to-date expenditures of $18,879,109.45 and a current fund balance of $13,703,279.05. The month-to-date expenditures totaled $1,030,266.02.
The board is to meet at 6:30 p.m. April 18 at Sentinel Career Center, Tiffin.
