Police are searching for a male suspect after a robbery Thursday night at Hy-Miler gas station, 247 S. Sandusky St.

According to Tiffin police reports, a panic alarm was received by police from the station at 11:45 p.m. Police responded to the business, where an employee said a white male around 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall, wearing gloves and who had his face covered, entered the store and demanded the cash box.

The employee wouldn’t give the man the box, but he took it anyway and left the store, said Sgt. Rob Bour of the Tiffin Police Department.

Bour said the man did not show a weapon during the robbery. Police did not disclose the amount of cash taken.

An item of clothing that was dropped by the suspect after the robbery was collected by police, he said.
