Man gets four years for felonious assault

A Tiffin man was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to felonious assault this week.

Billy J. Bright, 24, who was indicted on the second-degree felony in December for stabbing a man in the head and arm Nov. 3 in the first block of Adams Street, was sentenced Monday by Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff, according to court documents.

The stabbing, which occurred during a fight, left the victim with a laceration behind his ear and cuts on his arm. He was treated and released from the hospital.
