Drug bust at apartment
FOSTORIA?- Suspected Ecstasy, criminal tools, drug paraphernalia, marijuana and money were found during an execution of drug-related search warrant Tuesday afternoon at a South Union Street apartment.
According to a release from the Seneca County Drug Task Force METRICH Enforcement Unit, the items were found at 228 S. Union St., Apt. C, the residence of Chester Pettaway Jr., 37, and Cathryn Hocanson, 25.
Pettaway was arrested on a warrant out of Seneca County for possession of crack cocaine. The charge stems from a February 2012 drug investigation, according to the release.
He faces additional charges of trafficking in crack cocaine, possession of criminal tools, possession of Ecstasy, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana pending further investigation and lab testing of the contraband seized Tuesday.
According to the release, the Fostoria Police Department’s canine unit and additional officers from the Fostoria Police Department were used to execute the search warrant.
“The Fostoria Police Department, along with the METRICH Unit agents has been very active the last few weeks identifying and pursuing the dealers in Fostoria. We encourage citizens to continue to report suspicious activity, and likewise we will continue to work jointly with surrounding agencies and the public to aggressively attack those involved in drug activity and criminal behavior,” said Capt. Pat Brooks of the Fostoria Police Department in the release.
