Review board OKs signs for new restaurant
The Architectural Board of Review approved a sign for a new business Tuesday.
Phoebe’s, which is to be located at 138 S. Washington St., will offer vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and other healthy food options.
It will be part storefront, which will offer many healthy food options, and part vegan deli, owner Wendy Welly said.
She said Tiffin does not have a place that serves this kind of food, and she will adjust what she sells in the store to what the public wants.
Phoebe’s sign is to be 28 square feet and will hang where the old Tiffin Jewelry Store sign now stands.
The sign will be purple with green and yellow lettering. Any additional signage for the business will need board approval, according to the new sign code.
In other business, the board elected officers. John Huss will continue to serve as the chair, while vice chair Tony Consolo and secretary Mark Steinmentz also were re-elected to their previous posts.
