Lakota has questions for governor
LAKOTA – Lakota Board of Education discussed potential plans Monday evening to contact Ohio Gov. John Kasich to voice their opinion on how much money the school district would be receiving.
The financial report for Lakota shows the school district will not receive a budget increase in coming years, compared to richer school districts that are receiving an increase. The school board is to introduce a plan on how they will address the governor.
In other matters, the board:
Approved an overnight trip for the Lakota music department to go to Fort Wayne in May.
Approved a memorandum of agreement between Lakota Local Schools and TMC Migrant Seasonal Head Start Agency.
Approved the Lakota school calendar for 2013-2014 school year.
Approved employment of four personnel.
