Fund drive helps 11 organizations in Sycamore
SYCAMORE – The 2012 Sycamore Village and Sycamore Township 1 Fund Drive has come to a close and $9,118.56 has been distributed to 11 charities and organizations in the area.
Recipients included Sycamore Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, Sycamore Girl Scouts, Hospice of Wyandot County, Mohawk Historical Society, Mental Health and Recovery Services of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties, Sycamore Community Pool, Wyandot County Council for Birth Defects, Wyandot County Home Health Agency, Wyandot County Multiple Sclerosis, Wyandot County Red Cross and the Wyandot County Senior Citizens (Mohawk 60+ Club).
Kim Mohr, 2012 president, expressed appreciation to the donors and to the team of 35 volunteers who continued the Sycamore tradition that began in 1958.
“We had an amazing year. This is the second highest total in our 54-year history.” Mohr said. “What a great place to call home. The Sycamore community has a huge heart.”
