Fostoria man arrested for break-ins

A Fostoria man was arrested Tuesday in connection to several business break-ins reported earlier this week in Fostoria.

According to a release from the Fostoria Police Department, James J. Potter, 52, was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his Buckley Street residence Tuesday morning.

He faces two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of vandalism and two counts of safecracking, according to Fostoria Municipal Court documents. Potter also is a suspect in a break-in in Hancock County, and officers assisted a deputy in executing a separate search warrant on him Tuesday, according to the release.

Potter, who is being held at the Fostoria city jail, is scheduled to appear today in Fostoria Municipal Court for an arraignment.
