Right to Life fundraiser slated

New Riegel Right to Life is having a community fundraiser Tuesday at Bob Evans Restaurant.

The Tiffin restaurant is to donate 15 percent of sales to the group for any individual breakfast, lunch or dinner meal with a special coupon/flyer.

Flyers can be picked up at the New Riegel post office, First National Bank of Sycamore in New Riegel or by calling (419) 595-2756 or (419) 595-2410.

Aging Agency

to bestow grants

Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging Inc. has announced the availability of six $1,000 grants and one $2,500 scholarship for individuals pursuing higher education.

Applications are to be accepted from anyone 18 and older. Applicants must have at least a sophomore status in an accredited technical school, college or university for the 2013-14 academic year.

TAG taps judge

for photo contest

Tiffin Art Guild has announced the judge for its annual photography competition is Walter M. Herip of Herip Associates in Peninsula.

For more than 30 years, Herip has headed a firm whose creative work has received more than 300 awards. His firm’s design work has appeared in more than 30 publications and books.

With degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Art and Kent State University, Herip also has studied in Switzerland. He has taught at the Cleveland Institute of Art and is the past head of the commercial art and graphic design programs at The University of Akron.
