Board seeks new zoning inspector

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP – Hopewell Township trustees met for the final meeting of 2012 late Monday afternoon.

Zoning inspector Robert Benner is to turn over the reins to a new person in 2013. Trustees are to interview applicants for the position in closed session during the Jan. 28 meeting.

Fiscal officer Lorrayne Kovasckitz reported a judgment entry of $800 plus interest has been made regarding defendant Robert Mareno who did not fulfill an obligation with the Meadowbrook Ballroom. The county prosecutor’s office is to handle final details.

The township is to pay invoices one month in advance for Bascom Communications to remedy issues with invoicing.

Snow plowing for New Years Day approved if necessary.

First premium of $4,468.14 paid to Medical Mutual initiating health benefits for Jan. 1.

Trustees are to meet at 6 p.m. Jan. 14 for a reorganization meeting with the regular meeting to follow.
