Tiffin reports

A person from the emergency room at Mercy Tiffin Hospital, 45 St. Lawrence Drive, reported Saturday evening an unresponsive man was dropped off by two people. It was turned over to the sheriff’s office. A message seeking more information was left for a deputy Sunday night.

A person in the 200 block of North Washington Street reported Saturday night the theft of a wallet.

Shane P. Botton, 35, of Fostoria, was charged with disorderly conduct Saturday night.

Larry W. Messer, 47, of Tiffin, was charged with domestic violence-menacing and aggravated menacing Saturday night.

Terry D. Aller, 30, of Tiffin, was charged with drugs-possession/abuse early Sunday morning.

Robert M. Hunt, 48, of Tiffin, and Richard L. Hunt, 49, of Marion, were charged with disorderly conduct early Sunday morning. A fight had been reported inside Denny’s, 315 W. Market St.

Marsha A. Paull, 63, of Tiffin, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated Sunday morning.

County report

A person in the 200 block of East Morgan Street reported Saturday night tires were sliced.

Fostoria reports

A 200-block East Crocker Street resident reported early Saturday morning a woman broke into the residence.

A 1000-block Perrysburg Road man reported Saturday afternoon there was a bullet in the tire of his car, and another tire was flat.

A person in the 200 block of East Center Street advised early Sunday morning a person was threatening to shoot people. An ambulance was requested for a person who was involved in an altercation. A person involved in an altercation refused transport and treatment.

A person in the 200 block of Bricker Street reported early Sunday morning two people were trying to break into her mother’s van.

A 200-block Cleveland Street man reported Sunday morning someone slashed the tires on his vehicle.

A 1000-block Perrysburg Road woman reported Sunday morning someone stole her stepladder.

Fostoria accidents

Jimmy R. Searles, 47, of Fostoria, was cited with failure to yield right-of-way after an accident at North Main and Jackson streets July 29. A passenger, Valerie K. Armstrong, 47, of Fostoria, was taken by Fostoria Fire Division to ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital.

A citation of failure to yield was issued after an accident on East Lytle Street Saturday morning.

An accident was reported at Stoner Road and Northview Saturday night.

A citation of backing without due regard was issued after an accident on McDougal Street early Sunday morning.


Tiffin Fire Rescue Division responded to a smoke detector activation at 600 N. River Road Sunday morning. There was no fire, and it was unintentional.


Tiffin Fire Rescue Division had one squad run Saturday afternoon, two squad runs Saturday evening, two squad runs Saturday night, two squad runs early Sunday morning and two squad runs Sunday morning. Clinton fire assisted Saturday evening, Saturday night and Sunday morning.
