Tiffin reports

David L. Assenheimer, 50, of Tiffin was cited Tuesday with operating a vehicle while intoxicated for an incident June 10.

A throwing star was given to police after it was found by a juvenile in the first block of Schonhardt Street Monday afternoon.

A 100-block Ann Street man reported Monday afternoon he found a hole in the siding of his house.

County report

Jeff D. Ringle, 49, of Sandusky, was charged with disorderly conduct Aug. 5.

A woman in the 5000 block of West Ash Street reported Monday evening a cab driver made sexually explicit comments to her.

Fostoria reports

Craig A. Zink, 57, of Fostoria, was charged with a protection order violation for an incident July 4.

A man went to the station Monday afternoon to report a radio, flashlight and pepper gun were stolen from his vehicle.

A gasoline drive-off of $30 was reported Monday afternoon at Certified, 100 E. Lytle St.

A shoplifting incident was reported Monday evening at Kmart, 620 Plaza Drive. The store did not want to pursue charges against the shoplifter, but wanted the merchandise returned.

A gasoline drive-off of $10 was reported Monday evening at Kroger, 126 W. High St.

Three vehicles in the 1000 block of Fairway Lane were reported broken into Monday evening. Items were taken from two of the vehicles. One of the vehicle owners said he located his items on the nearby golf course along with a T-shirt and pants.

A 500-block Columbus Avenue man reported Monday evening someone was in his residence while he was in Findlay and had moved his amplifier.

A caller reported Monday night a man was urinating in the street in the 300 block of McDougal Street.

A theft was reported early Tuesday morning in the 300 block of North Main Street.

A 600-block McDougal Street caller reported Tuesday morning a person was trying to get into the residence. The person then went to a neighbor’s house. A man was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, according to the report. A bag of prescription pills was located in the man’s pocket and it was confiscated until he could show proof of ownership.

A 200-block North Countyline Street man reported Tuesday morning a construction crew damaged his vehicle and left items on it.

Fostoria accident

An accident was reported Tuesday afternoon at College Avenue and North Countyline Street. A driver was issued a citation for failure to maintain reasonable control and AEP was contacted for a downed power line, according to the report.

State Patrol

A one-vehicle accident was reported Monday evening on South SR 53. No transports were made from the scene. Further details were unavailable Tuesday evening.


McCutchenville fire, New Riegel EMS and the Echo unit were called to a one-vehicle accident Monday evening on South SR 53.


Clinton fire and Tiffin Fire Rescue Division had one squad run Monday evening and one squad run Tuesday morning.

Bloomville fire and EMS had a squad run early Tuesday morning.
