Tiffin reports

An attempted break-in was reported Tuesday morning in the 100 block of Morningside Drive.

A mailbox in the 800 block of North Water Street was reported damaged Tuesday afternoon.

County reports

A person was charged with disorderly conduct Monday afternoon after a verbal confrontation was reported in the first block of East High Street.

Two thefts were reported Monday night in the 6000 block of North SR 101.

A 2000-block West CR 592 man reported Monday night his neighbor threatened him while he was in his own garden. The man was advised how to get a protection order.

A 1000-block East CR 16 man reported early Tuesday morning someone knocked off his mailbox with a vehicle. Mailboxes also were reported damaged Tuesday morning in the 3000 block of South TR 165, the 2000 block of South TR 159 and the 1000 block of North TR 73.

Fostoria reports

Charles Amburgey, 41, of Fostoria, was charged with illegal conveyance of a drug into a detention facility and criminal trespass June 17.

Joshua R. Banks, 26, of Fostoria, was charged with possession of a controlled substance Thursday.

A woman reported Monday afternoon she found possible marijuana seeds on the floor of a rental property in the 300 block of West South Street. The paraphernalia was recovered.

A caller reported Monday evening two women holding babies were fighting in the 1200 block of Beier Drive.

A juvenile was arrested Monday evening after a 300-block East Fremont Street woman reported her 15-year-old just broke her TV.

A gasoline drive-off was reported Monday night at Circle K, 438 E. Tiffin St.

A caller reported Tuesday morning someone assaulted a child in the 500 block of East Lytle Street. Police checked on the welfare of children and found no signs of physical abuse.

A 1200-block Beier Drive caller reported Tuesday afternoon a woman slammed her car door on her child. The incident is under investigation.

A residential break-in was reported Tuesday evening in the 600 block of Cherry Street. A TV and Xbox were taken.

County accidents

Kendall L. Stone, 26, of Tiffin, was cited with failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead following an accident Sunday morning in the 1000 block of SR 53. A passenger in the other vehicle involved, Chad E. Kear, 35, of Tiffin, was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

Hannah E. Heckathorn, 17, of Fostoria, was cited with failure to control following a single vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in the 2000 block of CR 591. She was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital with incapacitating injuries.


Bascom firefighters were called to Seneca Avenue Monday evening for a downed phone line.
