Tiffin report

A caller reported Friday morning tainted bottles of water were found in the first block of South Sandusky Street.

County reports

Terry L. Richardson Jr., 36, of Tiffin, was charged with criminal damaging Thursday.

A caller reported Thursday afternoon three rims had been stolen from the 6000 block of South TR 1125.

A caller from Smooth Sailing Trucking Co., 4610 S. TR 173, reported Thursday evening a former employee was in a company vehicle on the property. According to the report, a

person was given a warning for disorderly conduct.

Damage to a rental property was reported Friday morning in the 6000 block of North TR 175.

A man was arrested Friday afternoon after a fight was reported in the 12,000 block of West Axline Street.

A person went to the station Friday afternoon to report a bad check.

Fostoria reports

A 1500-block North Countyline Street man was arrested on a municipal court warrant after he called police to report he had a warrant for his arrest and wanted an officer to come arrest him.

A caller reported Friday morning someone broke windows out of the basement at

Fostoria Municipal Swimming Pool, 524 River St.

Tiffin accidents

Tom Gabel, 69, of Tiffin, was cited with failure to yield after a stop sign following an accident Thursday afternoon at Frost Parkway and West Perry Street.

James S. Williams, 63, of Fremont, was cited with assured clear distance ahead following an accident Friday morning at Webster and Minerva streets.

Ronald A. Kessler, 68, of Huron, was cited with improper left turn following an accident Friday morning at East Market and Jefferson streets.

Fostoria accident

A bicyclist was struck by a car Friday morning in the 200 block of North Main Street. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene. According to the report, the driver of the vehicle was to be cited for the crash. A message seeking more information was left for Capt. Patrick Brooks Friday afternoon.


Tiffin EMS had two squad runs Thursday afternoon, two squad runs early Friday morning and three squad runs Friday morning.

Green Springs fire had a squad run early Friday morning.

Kansas fire and Bettsville EMS had a squad run Friday morning.

Kansas fire and Fostoria EMS had a squad run Friday morning.


Tiffin firefighters were called to 600 N. River Rd. Thursday afternoon for an unintentional smoke detector activation.

Tiffin firefighters were called to 121 Schonhardt St. Thursday afternoon for a carbon monoxide detector activation. No carbon monoxide was found.

Tiffin firefighters were called to 329 W. Market St. Friday morning for a water or steam leak.
