Tiffin reports

William T. Rike, 20, of Bellevue, was charged with public urination Wednesday morning.

A person reported Wednesday afternoon a window was broken out on a vehicle in the 300 block of South Monroe Street. The broken window didn’t appear to have been a result of a criminal act, the report states.

County reports

Andrew O. Baxter, 23, of Fostoria, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal damage for an incident March 5.

Jason L. Clabaugh, 32, of Fremont, was charged with open container Friday.

A 2000-block West CR 592 man reported Tuesday evening his neighbors allegedly shot and killed a stray cat. The neighbors then came and took the cat off his property.

A 10000-block Millin Drive man reported Tuesday evening he found damage to his residence from paintballs.

A bad check was reported Wednesday morning in the first block of North Marion Street.

Fostoria reports

Ian M. Berridge, 20, of Fostoria, was charged with selling to an underage person for an incident March 8.

A 600-block Lynn Street woman reported Tuesday evening something sticky was sprayed all over her vehicle.

A man reported Tuesday evening a license plate was stolen off his vehicle in the 400 block of College Avenue.

A vacant residence in the 700 block of Walnut Street was reported entered Wednesday morning.

A woman went to the station Wednesday morning to speak to an officer about a phone scam.

Tiffin accident

Gregory E. Welter, 26, of Tiffin, was cited with failure to follow a truck route in the city limits following an accident Wednesday morning at the North Washington Street viaduct. According to the accident report, Welter’s semi-truck struck the bridge with the top of its cargo box, causing minor damage to the truck roof and no damage to the bridge.


Tiffin firefighters were called to 41 Madison St. Tuesday afternoon for a false alarm.

Attica fire and EMS were called to CR 56 Tuesday evening for a chimney fire.

Tiffin firefighters were called to 870 W. Market St. Tuesday night for a system malfunction.

McCutchenville fire and New Riegel EMS were called to TR 115 Tuesday night a carbon monoxide alarm.


Tiffin EMS had three squad runs Tuesday evening and three squad runs Wednesday morning.

Republic fire and EMS had a squad run early Wednesday morning.

Republic fire and EMS and the Echo unit had a squad run Wednesday morning.

Clinton fire and Tiffin EMS had a squad run Wednesday morning.


A son, James Michael Clyde Coursin. was born Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, to Sara Anne (Williams) and Chad Coursin. James weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces, and measured 22 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are William and Barbara Williams of Tiffin and the late Kristina Williams. Paternal grandparents are Ralph and Anna Coursin of Pennsylvania and Karen Coursin.
