A 200-block Walker Street caller reported Thursday night a dog was shot. Sgt. Jared Watson of the Tiffin Police Department said it appeared the dog may have been attacked by another animal. The case was forwarded to the Seneca County Dog Warden, he said.
Christopher M. Ramirez, 42, of Tiffin, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and improper left turn on a one-way street early Friday morning.
John M. Kohlenberg, 35, of Tiffin, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and weaving a zig-zag course early Friday morning.
A 300-block Jefferson Street man reported Friday afternoon a man whom he named assaulted him and was still at the residence. The men were separated and one left the residence.
Joshua L. Beekman, 32, of Bloomville, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and violating traffic lanes Sunday.
A woman from Jean Eachus Insurance, 1668 W. CR 592, reported Thursday afternoon one of her clients was verbally threatening her over the phone. He said he was going to “shoot all of you,” the woman reported.
A juvenile was arrested Thursday evening in Attica after a caller from Tiffin reported his grandson packed his bag and left the residence.
A 1000-block North Vine Street man reported Thursday evening he was approached two weeks ago by a person from Elmwood Local School District who said they needed help with funds for an ill friend. Capt. Patrick Brooks of the Fostoria Police Department said an investigation involving a scam is being led by the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. He said he did not know of any other residents in Fostoria who were approached by high school students collecting money for an alleged sick friend.
A caller from ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital reported Thursday evening an 8-month-old child was being treated, and the injuries did not match the parents’ story. Capt. Patrick Brooks of the Fostoria Police Department said the child suffered a broken arm, but at this point, nothing indicates it was from abuse. The incident is under investigation.
A 100-block East Fremont Street man reported Thursday night after his friend left his residence, medication was missing.
A gasoline drive-off was reported Friday morning at Certified Oil Co., 100 E. Lytle St.
An accident was reported Friday afternoon at Kilbourne and Jefferson streets. No transports were made from the scene.
Quincy Billingham, 18, of Fostoria, was cited with failure to yield at a stop sign following an accident Friday morning at West Jackson and North Union streets. According to police reports, the accident, which was reported 8:18 a.m., involved a school bus. Students were on the bus, but no injuries were reported. Minor damage was reported to the bus.
Zachary A. Graham, 30, of New Carllisle, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated for an incident Jan. 16.
