Tiffin reports

A shoplifter was reported Sunday afternoon at Walmart, 2801 W. SR 18.

A theft from a vehicle was reported Sunday afternoon in the first block of Boehler Street.

A gasoline drive-off of $45.39 was reported Sunday evening at Circle K, 272 N. Sandusky St.

A 200-block Third Avenue man reported Sunday night his roommate’s ex-girlfriend entered their house and ransacked it. She also took items, he reported.

Jack D. Chiow, 54, of Tiffin, was charged with disorderly conduct early Monday morning. A caller from Circle K, 73 Melmore St., had reported a highly intoxicated man was inside the store and then left.

Robert M. Morehart, 18, of Tiffin, was charged with theft Monday morning. A shoplifter had been reported at Soni Junction, 260 S. Washington St.

A man reported Monday morning someone tried to break into his warehouse in the 400 block of East Perry Street.

A woman went to the station Monday morning to speak to an officer about a 19-year-old pursuing her 10-year-old child online.

A 100-block Clay Street man reported Monday morning his vehicle was entered overnight and several electronics were taken.

A first-block Braden Court man reported Monday afternoon his house was broken into overnight and coins were missing from a safe.

A man went to the station Monday afternoon to report his vehicle was broken into.

County reports

James L. Hess, 53, of Tiffin, was charged with disorderly conduct for an incident Dec. 4.

Fostoria reports

Tanesha S. Ramsey, 30, of Fostoria was charged with theft for an incident Aug. 27.

State Patrol

Clay H. Stacy, 20, of Tiffin, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia for an incident Sept. 27.

Kerry A. Pumphrey, 22, of Green Springs, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and left-of-center early Saturday morning.

Knesley L. Johnson, 62, of Fostoria, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to control Friday afternoon.


Fostoria firefighters were called to 153 Sandusky St. early Saturday morning for an electrical problem. Red Cross was called to the residence to assist the family, which was displaced from the residence because of the problem.

Tiffin firefighters were called to 335 Miami St. Monday morning for an unintentional smoke detector activation.

County accidents

Ana C. Printy, 27, of Huron, was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital by a friend following an accident Friday afternoon at TR 151 and North CR 20. According to the report, she had been walking down the side of the roadway when a vehicle driven by Michelle R. Elchert, 25, of Tiffin, struck Printy with the vehicle’s mirror. No citations were listed on the report.


Fostoria EMS had one squad run Sunday morning, one squad run Sunday afternoon and one squad run Sunday night.

Tiffin EMS had three squad runs Sunday evening, two squad runs early Monday morning and two squad runs Monday morning.

Bascom fire and EMS and the Echo unit had a squad run Sunday afternoon.

Clinton fire had a squad run Sunday evening.

Green Springs fire and EMS had a squad run Sunday night.

Bellevue fire and EMS had two squad runs Monday morning.
