Tiffin reports

Jeffrey S. Collins, 48, of Tiffin, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated for an incident Sept. 21.

A 911 caller reported a woman had a weapon in the first block of South Washington Street Sunday afternoon. At the same time as the 911 call, the woman called police and inquired about carrying a BB handgun because she got into a fight with her brother. Police removed BB guns from a residence, according to the report.

A woman went to the station Sunday night and requested an officer speak to her daughter about stealing.

A 400-block East Perry Street caller reported Monday morning items were taken from a garage overnight.

A 300-block Water Street man reported Monday morning someone stole his Playstation3 within the last two hours. A man who was at the Water Street residence was arrested on a warrant.

A vehicle in the first block of Elmwood Street was reported entered Monday morning. Another vehicle in the first block of Elmwood Street also was reported entered Monday afternoon.

A caller reported Monday afternoon a man was beating up a woman in the 200 block of South Sandusky Street. The woman told police it was an argument and did not want to provide police with her boyfriend’s name.

County reports

A 600-block East SR 18 woman reported Monday morning someone broke into her garage.

A 500-block East SR 18 caller requested to speak to a deputy Monday morning about someone shooting some sort of weapon over the weekend.

A first-block Liberty Street man reported Monday afternoon items were missing from his residence. He said he had found his back door open Sunday.

Fostoria reports

A caller reported Sunday afternoon a vehicle had been sitting in the 800 block of Davoli Street for a month and the windows were broken. A neighbor reportedly saw someone break the windows.

A caller reported Sunday night a vehicle was ramming things in a yard in the 200 block of Bricker Street. According to the report, a man was arrested and charged with obstruction and a woman was arrested and cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving under suspension. She also was charged with obstruction.

A woman reported Sunday night her wallet was stolen from her coat while she was at a business in the 400 block of South Main Street.

A 100-block East Fremont Street caller reported Monday morning people were fighting in the bathroom. People were given citations for disorderly conduct, according to the report.

County accident

A man reported Sunday night a vehicle hit his vehicle in Fostoria and then fled without stopping. He said he last saw the vehicle at West TR 112 and SR 587 going about 100 miles per hour. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.


Bascom fire and EMS were called to Brace Avenue Sunday afternoon for a gas odor.


Tiffin EMS had one squad run Sunday afternoon, two squad runs Sunday night and two squad runs early Monday morning. An ambulance also was needed once Monday morning.

Green Springs fire and EMS and the Echo unit had a squad run Sunday afternoon.

Bascom fire and EMS had a squad run Sunday night.

Clinton fire had one squad run early Monday morning and one squad run Monday morning.

NBS fire and New Riegel EMS had a squad run early Monday morning.

Green Springs fire and Republic EMS and the Echo unit had a squad run Monday afternoon.
