Tiffin reports

A person from Circle K, 272 N. Sandusky St., reported a juvenile shoplifter Friday afternoon.

A person from the emergency room at Mercy Tiffin Hospital, 45 St. Lawrence Drive, requested an officer Friday evening for a patient who was being disruptive.

A person in the 200 block of Huss Street reported Friday night a man was at a woman’s home, yelling and pounding on the door wanting his belongings. He made entry into the home. The victim did not wish to pursue charges.

A person reported Friday night three males were messing with windows at Columbian High School, 300 S. Monroe St. Law enforcement was unable to locate them.

A citation of failure to reinstate was issued at Melmore and South Washington streets Friday night. An ambulance was requested for a man who said he hurt his head while doing a field sobriety test.

A juvenile was charged with juvenile delinquency, drugs-possession/abuse and drugs-paraphernalia Saturday after an incident Thursday.

A first-block Jackson Street resident reported early Saturday morning a man kicked in the front door and was in the house.

A first-block Ash Street woman reported Saturday afternoon her bag was stolen. It later was returned.

County reports

A man reported Friday afternoon he was in his berry patch at South TR 79 and East CR 36 and found four-wheelers had destroyed some of his field.

An 11000-block West TR 112 man reported Friday evening he believed his son stole his weed eater.

Fostoria reports

A person reported Friday afternoon a man was assaulting a woman in the 200 block of West South Street. A man was arrested.

A 600-block North Poplar Street man reported Friday afternoon his residence was broken into.

A man went to the station Friday evening and reported his bicycle was stolen from the 200 block of Summit Street. He saw a person he knew riding it.

A 1000-block North Countyline Street woman reported Friday evening the theft of money. The purse was located, and a bottle of pills was missing.

A 400-block West Lytle Street man reported Saturday morning someone put trash in his dumpster.

A 500-block Stinchcomb Drive woman went to the station Saturday morning and reported some of her checks were stolen, forged and cashed. It was under investigation.

Tiffin accidents

Aaron J. Ringle, 32, of Tiffin, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after an accident on Wentz Street Friday afternoon.

A citation of improper lane change was issued after a non-injury accident on East Market Street Friday evening.

Andrew L. Miller, 57, of Tiffin, was cited with failure to yield right-of-way at an intersection after an accident at Summit and Main streets Saturday morning.

Sarah N. Dunfee, 28, of Fostoria, was cited with driving under suspension after an accident in the 1000 block of TR 21 Friday evening. The vehicle was turning into a drive-through and drove into a soda cooler.

A citation was to be issued after a two-vehicle accident at South Poplar and East Center streets Friday afternoon.


Tiffin firefighters were called to a carbon monoxide detector activation due to malfunction at 458 2nd Ave. Friday afternoon.

Tiffin firefighters were called to an alarm system that sounded due to malfunction at 175 St. Francis Ave. Friday evening.

Tiffin firefighters were called to a smoke detector activation due to malfunction at 78 Shaffer Park Drive early Saturday morning.

Fostoria firefighters were called to a dumpster fire at the CSX depot Saturday afternoon.
