Tiffin report

A first-block Seneca Street man reported Tuesday morning his pick-up truck had been stolen. The truck was located at a loading dock at Heritage IGA, 479 E. Market St., and the owner was contacted to pick up the truck.

County reports

Nicholas J. Smith, 28, of Green Springs, was charged with retaining property Saturday.

A woman went to the station Monday afternoon to report a fraud.

A 16000-block East TR 104 woman reported Monday night her son assaulted her other son. No weapons were involved. An adult was arrested.

A 4000-block North SR 101 woman reported Monday night someone tampered with her farm animals. The sheep were removed from the barn and locked in the chicken coop.

A caller reported Monday night a child hit another child with a baseball bat in the 300 block of Stump Pike Road.

A 7000-block Washington Street man reported early Tuesday morning his wife assaulted him. An adult was arrested, according to the report.

Fostoria reports

An 800-block Eastern Avenue person reported identity theft Monday afternoon.

A person in the 500 block of West Tiffin Street reported Monday evening a vehicle tire had been stabbed numerous times overnight.

A 600-block North Main Street woman reported Monday night a man was harassing her daughter and also stole property from her home.

A 200-block West South Street man reported Tuesday morning his residence had been broken into.

Thomas J. Maag Jr., 23, of Fostoria, was charged with domestic violence, disrupting public services and aggravated menacing Tuesday afternoon.

State Patrol

Alan D. Alloway, 37, of Bettsville, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and a right-side-of-the-road violation Friday night.

Tiffin accidents

Michelle A. Eldridge, 44, of Tiffin, was cited with failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead following an accident Sunday afternoon on East Perry Street. She was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

An injury accident was reported Tuesday morning at Webster and North Washington streets.


Tiffin EMS had two squad runs Monday afternoon, one squad run Monday evening and two squad runs Tuesday morning.

Bloomville fire and EMS had a squad run Monday night.

Sycamore fire had a squad run Tuesday morning.

Bascom fire and EMS and the Echo unit had a squad run Tuesday morning.


Tiffin firefighters were called to 545 W. Market St. Monday evening for an unintentional alarm transmission.

Attica fire and EMS and the Echo unit were called to a one-vehicle accident Monday evening on North SR 4.

Tiffin firefighters were called to 401 Miami St. Monday night for heat coming from a short circuit.

Bascom firefighters were called to TR 43 and TR 116 Tuesday morning for a train engine fire.

Market St., Apt. 371, pleaded guilty to operating vehicle impaired/under influence, 60 days jail, 55 days suspended, six-month license suspension, complete/pay for driver intervention program, six points, $741; pleaded guilty to driving under suspension, $250; pleaded guilty to one-way traffic violation, $35.

Jonathan W. Biller, 18 1/2 S. Monroe St., pleaded no contest to driving under suspension, 60 days jail, 60 days suspended, two points, $584.
