Tiffin reports

A fight between a man and a bouncer at Viaduct Bar & Grill, 129 S. Washington St., was reported early Thursday morning. A man with a bloody face ran from police, according to the report. A female who was hit in the nose with a door was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital. Andrew J. Gibson, 34, of Tiffin, was charged with obstructing official business and possession of drugs.

A 100-block Elmer Street woman reported early Thursday morning a man was looking into her window. Police were unable to locate the man.

A man reported early Thursday morning he saw a man holding a handgun in a vehicle in Walmart parking lot. A woman also was in the vehicle. A vehicle matching the description was later stopped by police.

A 100-block Jackson Street man reported Thursday morning a catalytic converter was stolen out of his vehicle overnight.

County reports

Ryan D. Ish, 40, of Republic, was charged with intoxication with a weapon Thursday.

A break-in was reported Thursday morning in the 1000 block of West CR 6.

Fostoria accidents

Holly Day, 27, of Fostoria, was cited with failure to yield during a left turn following an accident Feb. 5 at East Lytle and State streets.

Kaila L. Schmeltz, 16, of Fostoria, was cited with failure to control, leaving the scene of an accident, having no operator’s license and a juvenile traffic offense following an accident Feb. 8 in the 800 block of Cory Street.

Sara M. Walter, 23, of Fostoria, was cited with failure to yield at a stop sign following an accident Feb. 8 at North Main and Sandusky streets.

A two-vehicle injury accident was reported Wednesday afternoon at North Countyline and West Culbertson streets.

Tiffin fire

Firefighters were called to 160 Miami St. Wednesday night for an unintentional smoke detector activation.

Firefighters were called to 151 Second Ave. early Thursday morning for an authorized controlled burn.

County fire

Clinton firefighters were called to Green Meadow Drive Wednesday evening for an oven fire.


Tiffin EMS had two squad runs Wednesday afternoon, three squad runs Wednesday evening, two squad runs early Thursday morning and one squad run Thursday morning.

Republic EMS had one squad run Wednesday night.

Green Springs EMS had one squad run early Thursday morning.

Bascom EMS had one squad run Thursday morning.
