Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host Preschool Story Time at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Sept. 14, 21 and 28 in the Frost Kalnow Room, 77 Jefferson St.

The junior department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host Playtime @ the Library at 10 a.m. Friday in the Frost Kalnow Room, 77 Jefferson St.

The program is hosted by Seneca County’s Help Me Grow.

Cook book club to meet

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host its monthly “Cook by the Book Cooking Club” at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19 in the Junior Home Room, 77 Jefferson St.

The program is for adults and discusses everything cooking, including successful and unsuccessful recipes, kitchen trends and gadgets and tips and suggestions that help in the kitchen.

The theme for September is to celebrate Johnny Appleseed’s birthday by making your favorite apple dish.

TAB to meet at T-SPL

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library’s teen department is to host a Teen Advisory Board meeting 4-5 p.m. Sept. 25 in the Frost Kalnow Room, 77 Jefferson St.

Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to join the group that is to help in choosing teen activities at the library, suggested books, movies, music and games.

The first project is to plan a Halloween party.

Next trivia night event announced

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library, Buffalo Wild Wings and the Seneca Industrial and Economic Development Corp. again is to partner to host “Trivia Night in Downtown Tiffin” 7-8:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at Buffalo Wild Wings.

The event is hosted by Tiffin Middle School history teacher Ben Gillig.

Families of all ages are invited to compete in four rounds of general trivia questions. Answers are to be judged by local celebrities.

Participants are to form teams of two to four members.

T-SPL to host ‘tween book group

The junior library at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host the Tween Book Club at 10 a.m. Sept. 30 in the Frost Kalnow Room, 77 Jefferson St.

The program is for tweens, ages 9-12.

The next title to be discussed is “Liar & Spy” by Rebecca Stead.

Books are available in the junior library.

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Kyle Depinet of Republic and Julian Pelfrey of Upper Sandusky have been named to the 2017 spring semester dean’s list at Palmer College of Chiropractic.

TU’s Collins named vice provost

Kristina Collins, assistant professor of management at Tiffin University, has been named vice provost for academic excellence, distinctiveness and effectiveness.

Collins is to lead the academic affairs team responsible for advancing TU’s academic excellence, distinctiveness and effectiveness. She and her team are to be responsible for supporting the provost and the school deans in securing excellence in teaching and learning in the areas of library resources, faculty development, program prioritization, review and development, outcomes assessment, general education and co-curricular and celebrating cultural uniqueness.

Terra State accepting registrations

FREMONT – Terra State Community College is to continue to accept registrations for 14-, 12- and eight-week fall classes.

Fourteen-week sessions are to begin Thursday; 12-week sessions are to begin Sept. 20 and eight-week sessions are to begin Oct. 18.
