Teen department to show movie

Teen department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library continues its summer reading program, “Spark a Reaction,” with the movie “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” at 6 p.m. July 16 in Frost Kalnow Room.

The movie, which is rated PG and runs 114 minutes, is open to teens entering grades six through 12 and adults. No registration is required for the free event. Refreshments are to be provided.

Toddler Tales program upcoming

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host Toddler Tales at 10 a.m. July 16 in Frost Kalnow Room. Especially for children 1 1/2 to 3 years old, the program is to feature stories, songs and finger plays. The program is 30 minutes.

No registration is necessary for the free event. Parents or caregivers are asked to attend.

Tiffin-Seneca library to host workshop

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host “Pete the Cat Puppet Show” July 17 as a part of the “Fizz, Boom, READ!” summer reading program. Participants may attend the workshop at 1 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. in Frost Kalnow Room.

The Junior Library staff is to host a puppet show, reminiscent of the “Pete the Cat” series by Eric Litwin, and then teach participants how to make a puppet of their own.

Library, museum to partner

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library and American Civil War Museum of Ohio are partnering to host a classic Civil War film series.

The next matinee is to be 1 p.m. July 19 in Junior Home Room at the library and is to feature the 1951 film “The Red Badge of Courage.”

The film runs 69 minutes, stars Audie Murphy and is based on the Stephen Crane book of the same name.
