MCL to celebrate Seuss’s birthday Monday evening
SYCAMORE The Mohawk Community Library is to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday at 6 p.m. Monday.
The theme for the event is all things (1 & 2).
Free computer classes offered in Green Springs
GREEN SPRINGS The Green Springs branch of the Birchard Public Library is to offer free, hands-on computer classes using Windows 8.1 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Friday, March 19 and 21 at the library, 207 N. Broadway.

Lego Saturday next weekend
The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host the next Lego Saturday 1-3 p.m. Saturday in the Frost Kalnow room.
The program is for all ages. The library is to provide Duplo Blocks for children through 2- to 4 years old; and Legos for children ages four and up.
The theme for March is a 20 piece challenge.

Free health screenings offered at Bellevue library
BELLEVUE The Bellevue Public Library is to offer free health clinic screenings 10 a.m.-noon March 17.
Nurses are to be available to check blood sugar and blood pressure.

T-SPL to host international events
Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host a series of international events featuring Saudi Arabia in conjunction with the International Cultural Center at the Tiffin Middle School.
A book discussion on “Princess: A True Story of Life Behind the Veil in Saudi Arabia” by Jean Sasson, is to be at 6:30 p.m. March 18.
Also, a panel discussion featuring local Saudi students and residents is to take place at 6:30 p.m. March 25.
The group is to disucss culture and life in Saudi Arabia and the differences between the United States.

Board game events at library
The junior department at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host “Game On! Board Games @ the Library” 1-3 p.m. March 27 for children ages 3-10 and 6-8 p.m. for children ages 11 and older.

New title for book group
BELLEVUE The Bellevue Public Library’s adult book group is to discuss “Brava, Valentane” by Adriana Trigiana at 7 p.m. March 18.
Next part in ‘Get Organized’
Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to present part three of the program “Get Organized” at 6:30 p.m. March 20 in the Frost Kalnow room.
Reannon Hayes is a professional organizer who is to present the program promoting living life instead of surviving it.
Hayes specializes in home and office organizing, clutter and paper control, downsizing, time management and more.

New title for parent, child book group
The junior library at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host a Parent-Child Book Club at 2 p.m. March 30 in the Junior Home room.
The program is for children in third- through sixth-grades and their parents.
The next book to be discussed is “The City of Ember” by Jeanne DuPrau. Copies are available in the junior library for check out.

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library has announced the schedule for adult computer classes in April.
Seven classes are to be offered. Registration has begun, and space is limited.
Windows 8, 10-11:30 a.m. April 9.
Job searching and resume writing, 3-4:30 p.m. April 10.
Intro to Publisher, 1-2:30 p.m. April 15.
Language learning, 6:30-7:30 p.m. April 16.
Intermediate Word, 10-11:30 a.m. April 17.
All about digital photos, 2-4 p.m. April 22.
Facebook basics, 2-4 p.m. April 24.

Grants received by local businesses
The Allen Eiry Fund has announced grant funding for 2014, awarding 11 grants totaling $182,505 to organizations serving senior citizens in Seneca County.
The grants are to support local organizations including Allen Eiry Senior Center Inc., Daybreak of Fostoria, Good Shepherd Home, Seneca County Agency Transportation, Seneca County Commission on Aging, Seneca County General Health District, Seneca County Home Auxiliary, Seneca County Public Guardianship Program, St. Francis Senior Ministries and Tiffin-Seneca Public Library.
