Young Adventurers-Habitats, 10 a.m., Tiffin University Nature Preserve, 155 Miami St. Walk the trails as we learn about the different habitats in the preserve. Discover how each is related to the whole environment and why that is important to survive.

St. Patrick’s Day Walk, 2 p.m., Bowen Nature Preserve, 11891 E.CR 24, Republic. Wear green as we celebrate the day and see what “green” is appearing in the preserve. This walk will last about 1 to 1 1/2 hours and qualifies for the Walking Stick Program.

Discovery Series-Wonders of Skunk Cabbage, 5 p.m., Forrest Nature Preserve (TR 151 parking lot), 701 E. CR 6, Tiffin. For ages 12 to 17 years. Join a naturalist to discover new and exciting things in the nature preserve each month. Search for this early spring plant and learn why it is so unique.
Annual Beans and Rice Dinner, 5:30 p.m. dinner, 6:30 p.m. program, St. Francis Spirituality Center, 200 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin, in the Canticle Cafe. The speakers will begin at 6:30. Topic: “Immigration: On Mexico’s Southern Border and in the United States.” Speakers are Sister Karen Lindenberger, Hispanic pastoral minister, St. Anthony/All Saints Church, Canton, and Sister Linda Scheckelhoff, pastoral minister, Diocese of San Cristobal de las Cases, La Trinitaria, Chiapas, Mexico.
