$4.7M awarded in Standard case | Advertiser-Tribune Hundreds of former American Standard employees are to be awarded back pay and damages totaling more than $4.7 million. According to National Labor Relations Board documents, seven charges filed on behalf of Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics & Allied Workers International Union and GMP Local Union 7A of Tiffin against American Standard were settled and fully resolved Nov. 13 by the NLRB. The charges had claimed American Standard, which closed in 2008, violated the National Labor Relations Act during contract negotiations between 2002 and 2004.
