Ace store launches new line of paint

The paint studio at Tiffin Ace Hardware has a bright new look, and is introducing a new line of paint to match.
Bryan Deats, owner of Tiffin Ace Hardware, said Valspar paint now will be available at the store, and a grand opening at 4:30 p.m. Thursday will mark the introduction of the line and the more customer-friendly studio at Ace.
He said Valspar is the second largest line of do-it-yourself paint in the country, and will allow Ace to serve a larger market of paint customers.
He said Valspar will offer Ace customers a national brand that performs with all the advantages of new paint technology. Valspar products can provide one-coat coverage and a surface that can be scrubbed clean, he said.
Deats said he and Ace hope adding Valspar to the store’s paint lineup will help Ace become a “major player” in the local and national do-it-yourself paint market.
Tiffin Ace Hardware now will offer great color selections and paint products that fit every budget, he said.
Deats said the paint studio has been refreshed with a “new decor package” to help the area look “bright and crisp.” The store has 22 feet of color chips, an auto tinter and a countertop for customers to look at samples and design books, he said.
Deats said there are 3,500 Ace stores nationwide and, while the Valspar and studio changes are companywide, Tiffin is one of the first locations to be redone.
The grand opening, he said, will celebrate the in-store changes and the addition of Valspar to Ace, and is the “biggest event in Ace history.”
It will include buy-one-get-one offers on Valspar Optimus and Clark & Kensington paints, he said.
