Former TU employee accused of thefts totalling more than $216K

The former manager of Tiffin University’s bookstore has been accused of thefts from the university totalling more than $216,000.

Charles B. Lutz, 55, of Tiffin, was indicted by a Seneca County grand jury on two counts of aggravated theft, both third-degree felonies, and four counts of grand theft, all fourth-degree felonies, according to Seneca County Clerk of Courts records.

The alleged thefts involved book buy-back companies’ checks and personal purchases on a university credit card, according to Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
