Amanda Somers and Roger Burton Jr. exchanged wedding vows Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at the Barn at the Backwoods in Thornville. The officiant was Debby Roszman. A reception followed the ceremony at the same location.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Lisa Somers of Tiffin. The groom is the son of Roger and Darla Burton of Corning.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Jena Busold of Columbus, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelsey Parker of Grove City and Anne Herron of Columbus, friends of the bride, and Makinze and Madison Burton of Columbus, daughters of the groom.
Charlie Kellar of Columbus, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Nick Crawford of Plain City and Chris Knellinger of Lore City, friends of the groom, Daniel Somers of Tiffin, brother of the bride, and Mason Burton of Columbus, son of the groom.
A bridal shower Saturday, May 20, 2017, was hosted by Busold, Parker, Herron, Denise Smathers and Lisa Somers at St. Joseph’s Upper Room, Tiffin.
The bride a 2005 graduate of Calvert High School and 2009 graduate of Walsh University and is an accountant at Olentangy Local Schools.
The groom is a 1992 graduate of Franklin Heights High School and is a technician at RCD Sales.
The couple resides in Columbus after returning from their honeymoon in Iberostar Grand Bavaro Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
