McKenzie-Hall

Heather McKenzie and Elliot Hall exchanged wedding vows at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 9, 2016, at La Pizzaria in Canton. The officiant was the Rev. Mark Black. A reception followed directly after the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Craig and Dianne McKenzie of Tiffin. The bridegroom is the son of Mark and Tana Hall of Minerva.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a tulle, venice, embroidered lace, fit-and-flare dress accentuated with a Sabrina neckline. The dress included handmade, rose appliques on the sheer top layer. Underneath was a layer of rose lace that gave the dress a three-dimensional effect. The neckline was handbeaded and had the look of an extravagant necklace. Buttons and crystals ran the length of the back to the end of the train, which showcased the roses of the dress and cathedral-length veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses wrapped in marine blue ribbon. Tied to her bouquet were three special items – her groom’s wedding band, her grandmother’s wedding ring and a pin that belonged to her grandmother.

Bridesmaids wore marine blue, floor-length, sleeveless, illusion neckline dresses with keyhole backs and cascading side ruffles with back ruching. They carried red rose bouquets with marine blue ribbon matching the bride’s bouquet.

Stacey Culver (Kline), originally of Tiffin, was the bride’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Brown (Geary), originally of Tiffin, Mariah Crater of Malvern, Melody Jones (Black) of Canton and Alia Brodie of Detroit.

Andrew Skouby of Beachwood was best man. Groomsmen included Jared Cox and Matt Granger, both of Minerva, CJ Brown of Coldwater, Marc Anderson of Napoleon and Caleb Marty of Clyde.

The bride, a 2008 graduate of Columbian High School, graduated in 2013 from Indiana Wesleyan University with a degree in church music. She wasworship director at First Christian Church of Malvern, where the couple first met.

The bridegroom, a 2009 graduate of Minerva High School, graduated in 2015 from Ohio Northern University with a doctorate in pharmacy. He is a pharmacist at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster.

Honoring the bride with miscellaneous showers were Jackie Schafer, Stacey Culver and Katie Brown at Journey Church in October, and Melody Jones and Mariah Crater at First Christian Church of Malvern in November.

The rehearsal dinner was at La Pizzaria in Canton. The couple lives at 1259 Epic Way, Lancaster, OH 43130, following a honeymoon at Disney World and Universal Studios Florida.
