Jessica Leigh Mannen and Mark Joseph Kimmet exchanged wedding vows at 3 p.m. Dec. 13, 2014, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, South Bend, Indiana. The Rev. Peter McCormick officiated the double-ring Catholic nuptials Mass. A reception followed at Hedwig Memorial Center, South Bend, Indiana.
Jessica is the daughter of Douglas and Melinda Mannen of North Plains, Oregon. Mark is the son of Steve and Teresa Kimmet of Tiffin.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore an ivory gown featuring a fitted lace bodice that met the full chiffon skirt at an empire waist. Her ribbon sash and headband were hand-beaded by the bride and her mother. She wore a fingertip-length veil with lace trim and carried a bouquet of ivory spray roses and blue delphinium wrapped in a handkerchief made by the groom’s great-grandmother.
Greta Mannen of Sidney, Montana, served as her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Grace and Noelle Mannen of North Plains, Oregon, sisters of the bride; Alisa Berlekamp of Tiffin, sister of the groom; and Mary McLaughlin of Chicago and Whitney Young of Newark, New Jersey, friends of the bride. They wore blue chiffon, knee-length gowns of varying styles and carried bouquets of gypsophilia tied in gray, satin ribbon.
Matthew Vereecke of Tulsa, Oklahoma, served as his friend’s best man. Groomsmen included Matthew and Michael Kimmet of Columbus, brothers of the groom; Nicholas Mannen of North Plains, Oregon, brother of the bride; Brian Berlekamp of Tiffin, brother-in-law of the groom; and Brian Link of Toledo, friend of the groom.
Eliana and Greta Niese of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, cousins of the groom, and Felicity DeLorenzo of South Bend, Indiana, were flower girls. Braden Kimmet of Columbus, nephew of the groom, and Josiah DeLorenzo of South Bend, Indiana, godson of the bride, were ring-bearers.
Jessica graduated in 2005 from Valley Catholic High School, Beaverton, Oregon, and in 2009 from University of Notre Dame. She is a graduate student at University of Notre Dame and a campus minister at Saint Mary’s College.
Mark graduated in 1999 from Calvert High School and in 2003 from University of Notre Dame. He is senior systems engineer for Mendoza College of Business at University of Notre Dame.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at The Emporium, South Bend, Indiana.
Following a wedding trip to Italy and Ireland, the couple resides in South Bend, Indiana.
