Chrissy Hurley and Corey Pennington exchanged wedding vows at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 5, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. The Rev. Edward Burns was officiant during the double-ring, Catholic nupital Mass. A reception followed at Meadowbrook Park Ballroom, Bascom.

The bride is the daughter of David and Nancy Hurley of Tiffin.

The bridegroom is the son of Enos and Beverly Pennington of New Richmond.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an Alfred Angelo, white, strapless, lace dress with beading and a satin, chapel-length, removable train. She wore a sheer, waist-length veil accented with a flower and pearl hairpiece. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of burnt orange calla lilies accented with red hypericum berries, solidago and seeded eucalyptus, surrounded by brown feathers with dried wheat stems.

The attendants wore taffeta, one-strap, knee-length dresses with a toast-colored, pleated strap and bodice, nutella empire waist band and chocolate A-line skirt. They carried bouquets of dark orange alstromeria with red hypericum berries and stems.

Theresa Hurley of Tiffin was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Buckingham of Boston, cousin of the bride, Heather Todd of Dayton, friend of the bride, and Ginger Schwieterman of Dayton, sister of the groom. The junior bridesmaid was Ally Schwieterman of Dayton, niece of the bridegroom.

Flower girl was Mady Schwieterman of Dayton, niece of the bridegroom.

Taylor Andrews of Cincinnati was best man. Groomsmen were Brad Hurley of Cleveland, brother of the bride, and Keith Dufau of Cincinnati, cousin of the groom. Aaron Schwieterman of Dayton, nephew of the groom, was junior groomsman.

The bride, a 2007 graduate of Calvert High School, graduated from Wright State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2011. She is enrolled in the master’s program in nursing anesthesia at Otterbein University/Grant Medical Center.

The groom is a 2007 graduate of New Richmond High School and a 2011 graduate of Wright State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. He also graduated, in 2012, from Wright State University with a master’s degree in accounting. He is a CPA, employed at NetJets in the internal audit department.

Honoring the bride with miscellaneous showers was her sister, Theresa, in June 2013, in Tiffin, and Ginger Schwieterman in August 2013, in Cincinnati.

A rehearsal dinner was at Pioneer Mill, Tiffin.

The couple went on a honeymoon to Costa Rica and now live at 5513 Baneberry Ave., Columbus, OH 43235.
