Alexis Manuelita Cordova and Aaron James Edward Roth exchanged wedding vows at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Old Calvary Historic Episcopal Church, Sandusky. The Rev. William Kimberlin officiated the double-ring service.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Gustavo Cordova of Vadito, N.M. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Roth of Republic.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a candlelight satin, strapless gown with whisper chiffon overlay, a ruched bodice and chapel-length train. A sheer lace shrug and fingertip veil of ivory illusion completed the ensemble. She carried a clutch bouquet of fresh sunflowers.
Honor attendant for her daughter was Diane Cordova of Vadito, N.M., who wore a formal-length gown of champagne satin with matching jacket. Bridesmaids and sisters-in-law of the bride were Megan Roth of Lorain and Rosa Cordova of Albuquerque, N.M. They wore formal-length gowns of varying shades of green with Romanesque draping. All wore wristlets of autumn roses.
Flower girls were Violet Roth of Lorain and Kyra Romero of Albuquerque, N.M., nieces of the couple. They carried silk baskets of autumn leaves.
Ringbearer was nephew of the groom, Liam Roth of Lorain.
Best man was the groom’s boyhood friend, Michael Manning of Republic. Groomsmen were his brothers, Nicholas Roth of Lorain and Sebastian Roth of Tampa, and the bride’s brother, Eloy Cordova of Albuquerque, N.M.
A reception hosted by the groom’s family was at Knights of Columbus Hall, Sandusky, after the ceremony. A reception hosted by the bride’s family was Oct. 27, 2012, at Sagebrush Inn and Convention Center, Taos, N.M.
The bride is a graduate of Taos Christian Academy and New Mexico Highlands University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and nutrition.
The groom is a graduate of Bellevue High School; Heidelberg University, with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and biology; and New Mexico Highlands University, with an master’s degree in anthropology. He is employed by the university as a consultant and researcher and is a doctoral candidate at UNM, Albuquerque.
The couple was honored with a wedding shower Sept. 22, 2012, hosted by the bride’s family in Vadito.
The groom’s family hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 11, 2012, at Marconi’s Italian Restaurant, Huron, as well as a post-wedding brunch Oct. 14, 2012, at their home in Republic.
