Kristen Leigh Rhodes and Shawn David Tooley were married June 16, 2012, in a double-ring ceremony on the outdoor pavilion at Gervasi Vineyard overlooking Lake Gervasi in Canton. Gregory Sizemore was officiant. A dinner reception and dancing reception followed.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a gown of pearl satin with an ivory lace overlay adorned with hand-beaded accents, made by Sophia Tolli. The lace draped across the bodice and skirt, accentuating the asymmetrical dropped waistline and corset back, while the neckline featured a modified sweetheart with satin piping. She carried a bouquet of lilies atop an heirloom Bible and wore her mother’s veil.
Maid of honor was Jackie Atkin; bridesmaids were Kathleen Vermeersch, Jo Elle Hall, Ashley Hannay and Hannah Griffith. The flower girl was Kelly Hutton. The attendants wore red chiffon tea-length dresses with a ruffle halter, made by Mori Lee.
Groomsmen were Andrew Kelbley, Erik Reamer, Jacob Stevens, Josh Schwochow and Jaron Swerline. The ring bearer was Brock Kelbley.
The bride is the daughter of Debbie Kelly Rhodes of Salem and Earl Rhodes of North Canton. She is a 2005 graduate of Salem High School, a 2009 graduate of The Ohio State University and a 2012 graduate of Tiffin University. She is an academic adviser for Ohio State’s Lima campus.
The bridegroom is the son of Carol Koehler and David and Vickie Tooley of Sycamore. He is a 2005 graduate of Mohawk High School and a 2010 graduate of The University of Cincinnati. He is a project manager and estimator for Hemm’s Glass Shops, Piqua.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and now reside in Anna.
